The latest PPmac firmware and IDE are kept on th Delta Tau website. Remember that you update both the IDE and the firmware to make sure you can use all the features of each software.
You can download the IDE in two forms. One link is the for the full IDE installation file. The other link is for the latest update patch, a quick way to keep your IDE up to date.
Note that if the IDE you select is a split archive. You must download all the files in this directory to your local computer. Then using WinZip on the main file (the one with the .zip extension) extract the archive.
Installation Note:
Make sure that before you run the IDE for the first time that you are either logged into the computer as an administrator or that you right click on the IDE icon and select properties, under compatibility tab select "Run as an Administrator" and click OK.
Unfortunately, if you fail to run the IDE as an administrator for the first time, you will have to uninstall the IDE and reinstall it since there are special procedures that get executed only on the initial run.

I've downloaded all the files, but when I attempt to extract the *.zip archive, I get a message that the file is corrupt. I've attempted to redownload that file, but get the same response. Any ideas?
In this situation you can download the non-archived version of the IDE.
The kernel is bundled with the firmware so that if a firmware requires a new kernel it will get updated, otherwise it does not.
In extreme cases when someone has really trashed the system we can use this file and a special connection to the CPU to recover and restore operation. We do not want anyone doing this unless they talk to someone at DT first as doing it wrong will create more problems so I will not explain the details.

Is it sufficient to run as a user that has administrator privileges ? I have done that, but when testing the installation by building the sample application there were many errors reported from the realtime part of the application. Commenting out the contents of usercode.c gets rid of most of them.

In an attempt to sort out the above proble, I have attempted to reinstall. However, the initial uninstall failed and all attempts to run the installer again result in the error 'CreateFile failed'.

Please provide release notes for this new firmware and the associated IDE update as you did for version 1.3.
(I was pleased to read the 1.3 Release Notes when that was released. We are anxiously looking forward to the release notes for version 1.4 to see what things will be affected and the new behavior programmed into the system.)
Thank You.

Power PMAC Suite Version 1.5, Power PMAC firmware version 1.5 and related documents are released and it is available for download from the following locations:
The FileDepot "Power PMAC Suite (08-09-2012).zip" file under the SplitZipped folder tries to download the full 1GB file rather than the initial part of the split zip (on my system anyway). I got the correct file from the FTP download.
Greg,
It is removed. We are close to release the FW. We will update once the FW is released.
Thanks for pointing out.
Thanks,
Atul

Can you update the firmware link under the download area of this link you posted too. The firmare shown is 2.0.0.1 from 2014.
Thanks,
Greg
You downloaded the latest version of the program you run on your computer to program your Power PMAC. The most recent version of the firmware is available here for 460 cpu and here for 465 cpu. Use the cpu command in the terminal of your IDE to check which cpu you have.

At this point, we are re-evaluating where we want to put our firmware and software. Firmware we would like to keep on the File Depot, rather than making it directly accessible from the website. However, for the immediate future, we plan on putting our software on the website itself instead of the File Depot. As of now, there are a few small problems we still need to iron out with regards to this, but this seems likely to be the status quo for a while.
In the process of setting up a motor the IDE recommends updating the firmware. But on file depot the latest firmware version is from 2018, 2.4.1.2. From the vers command, my current firmware version is 2.5.1.2. Where can I find the latest firmware?

Edit Reason: wrong word
)
Jeff, we are still working on our process. For now, please send an email to ODT-Support@omron.com with the cpu type and firmware version you are looking for.
It may be helpful to edit the original post in this thread so folks know that the latest IDE download (4.4.0.99) is now only on the Omron Industrial Automation website as of 08/11/2020 (possibly much earlier too):
I agree. Since I didn't make the original post I don't really want to edit it, so making a new thread and sticky-ing that one instead. Locking this thread.
