IP address not stored on UMAC CPU

Hi

I have an Older Turbo UMAC CPU that won't store its IP address.

If the instruction in the thread (link below) are followed, then the IP address can be changed, but it is lost on power up:

This particular hardware revision does not have a Jumper E1 (Board # 603766-104). The closest thing I've found is a set of solder pads labelled CE1 near the USB/Ethernet chip.

Access via the ethernet port is more of a convenience, so this problem is really a question of why, and can it be easily fixed?

Please let me know if you have any questions, or if you would like any additional information.

Cheers

Greg

Hi Gregs,

Thank you for the link. The firmware download as per the Forum link worked a treat - the UMAC is now remembering its IP Address!

Using Windows 7, I needed to use the "Devices and Printers" (located under "Hardware and Sound" in the Control Panel, or direct from the Start Menu depending on setup) instead of the Device Manager mentioned at Step 2 of the Forum link you provided.

Once again, thank you.

Cheers

Greg
